About me
"I work with you to raise your virbration, thus creating greater harmony within – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. All of which can be achieved without me. Yet, in times of great challenge or if you are feeling a bit flat, an Att Vara Session will lift you and remind you of all that lies within.”
For as long as I can remember I have been very interested in people and wellbeing. And yet, I have come to work with individuals and energy in more of a round about way. Never the less, a way that also makes complete sense to me.
Following studying a double degree of Health Science and Media Studies, I undertook my first "career" job providing support programs for women and their families affected by cancer. This is when I first learnt about complementary and energy therapies. Many of the women began using energy therapies following their diagnosis, which greatly impacted their well being, despite their prognosis. From this point on, I used energy-based therapies to support my own well being, including (but not limited to): kinesiology, spiritual healing, yoga, reiki, qi gong and soul focussed psychotherapy.
My passion for wellbeing led me to study a Masters of Public Health, which I really enjoyed. I learnt about the many influences that affect populations and individual wellbeing: social determinants of health, research, the Australian health system, and the importance of meaningful consumer engagement. I particularly enjoyed social sciences and consumer engagement, which are about understanding and learning from peoples experiences.
It wasn't until I had difficulty getting pregnant that I started to really question what I needed to support my own wellbeing and my IVF journey. Through this experience, I realised that energy healing gave me a strong sense of wellbeing and I wanted to understand it better. I undertook a Reiki course and participated in a soul focussed psychotherapy course, which lead to the development of Att Vara.

What is Reiki?
Rei (means universal) and ki (means life force energy). Everything that is alive (humans, plants, animals) has life force energy circulating through it and surrounding it. When a living thing dies, the life force energy departs the physical form, and returns to the surrounding world.
There are many types of energy that affect life force energy. From the food we eat to the environment we spend time in – where we live, work and play. Consequently, there are many factors that affect our life force energy. Sometimes consciously, and sometimes unconsciously.
Reiki is a type of therapy that involves an attuned healer channeling Reiki energy to a recipient. When an individual has abundant and flowing life force energy they are better able to connect with themselves and their needs, which consequently enhances their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

Energy Healing Treatment
Time: 1 hour
Cost: $130
Aim of the treatment:
-
To locate and clear blockages in your energy system.
-
To raise and balance your energy system, resulting in a sense of enhanced wellbeing – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually
Part one
Whilst lying down on the table and feeling into your body, I encourage you to watch what comes up for you. During this part of the treatment, you may feel as though you have energy wrapped around you supporting you to explore aspects of yourself.
You may remember things, see, or feel things in a way that you haven’t before. All of which often helps with accessing, and clearing energy blockages. Often people gain new perspectives or insights, which help them to better understand current life circumstances.
Part two
During this part of the treatment I place my hands on or over areas of your body, including your: head, neck, shoulders, chest, upper abdomen, lower abdomen, hips, knees, ankles, feet.
These areas of your body are connected to 7 energy centres (also known as chakras).
Often during this part of the treatment it can feel like you have entered a deep meditative state. You will likely experience sensations in your body and sometimes see and feel things that are meant for you, and can be delivered to you when you are in this state.
